The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority, in cooperation with the Dubai Municipality, carried out an inspection campaign around 27 Dubai Metro stations to monitor the parking of neglected bicycles, with the aim of preserving the general civilized appearance of metro stations that were specifically designed to harmonize with the urban and tourist attractions in the Emirate of Dubai. Director of the Rail Campus Department at the RTA's Rail Agency, Nazem Faisal, said that based on the authority's keenness to support the flexible mobility strategy in the Emirate of Dubai, and in order to preserve the general appearance of the Emirate, an inspection campaign was organized around Dubai Metro stations to monitor and control the queuing of violating bicycles, in cooperation with With the stakeholders in Dubai Municipality, all abandoned bicycles around 27 stations were removed, and all public comments were responded to through the communication channels concerned with abandoned bicycles around metro stations.

He added that the inspection campaigns are continuing according to the periodic plan, while the authority is keen to educate the public about the necessity of not leaving bicycles in the parking lots designated for Dubai Metro and Dubai Tram users for a period of more than 24 hours.

It is noteworthy that the authority has provided all services to the public in the facilities and facilities of the Dubai Metro, through Wi-Fi services and an emergency call box, in addition to more than 3000 surveillance cameras in trains and stations, as well as a wireless communication system.
