A Palestinian was killed, at dawn today, Thursday, by the Israeli occupation forces, near the city of Ramallah in the central West Bank.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health said that the Israeli Civil Affairs was informed of the death of a citizen by Israeli army bullets at the entrance to the Beitin village in Ramallah and Al-Bireh governorate at dawn today. The ministry added that the martyr is unidentified.

Anadolu Agency quoted eyewitnesses as saying that in the early hours of Thursday morning, the occupation army shot a Palestinian at the entrance to the village of Beitin, near the Beit El military checkpoint.

Witnesses explained that the Israeli army closed the site and prevented access to the injured at the time. The witnesses stated that the Israeli authorities are still holding the body.

On the other hand, the Israeli version says that the army was carrying out "routine activities near the town of Beitin, before a suspect attacked a soldier with a hammer, wounding him in the face. The soldier responded by firing and neutralizing the suspect."

Intrusions and arrests

On the other hand, the occupation forces launched a campaign of massive incursions and arrests that affected a number of cities, villages and camps in the West Bank, accompanied by clashes and separate armed clashes between Palestinian resistance fighters and the occupation forces, which have so far affected about 10 citizens, including six members of one family.

The incursions and arrests affected the Al-Hadaf neighborhood and Jenin refugee camp, where the occupation forces raided a number of homes, including the homes of the Gwadra family, whose sons the occupation claims are the perpetrators of the Jordan Valley operation, which resulted in the injury of 7 Israeli soldiers a few days ago.

The occupation also stormed Balata refugee camp and Joseph's Tomb east of Nablus, Al-Jalz camp north of Ram, and Qalandia camp north of occupied Jerusalem.

It should be noted that the occupation army has been invading almost daily areas of the West Bank on a daily basis under the pretext of arresting wanted persons, which leads to the outbreak of confrontations with the Palestinians.
