Nick Kyrgios and Stefanos Tsitsipas were both fined for overuse during the Australian tennis player's Wimbledon round of 16 match.

Kyrgios will have to pay € 3,800 for uttering an audible obscenity while his Greek rival was fined € 9,500 for unsportsmanlike conduct, including throwing a ball at the audience.

The two players had also 'caught' in the press conference after the game, accusing each other of impropriety and having held provocative attitudes.

Kyrgios had already been fined for the previous match against Paul Jubb.

“His play is an

incessant act of bullying

towards the opponent.

He was probably a bully at school too.

I don't like bullies - commented Tsitsipas -, playing tennis against him is impossible because you find yourself in a circus ".

Tsitsipas

the day after the defeat he posted on Instagram a polemical message directed to the opponent.

"Give a man a mask and he will become his true self" reads the phrase of Kyrgios' new tattoo: "Give a man a mask and he will become himself".

A sort of message that questions the Australian person and character.

The response of the Australian

Kyrgios was not long in coming

: "Tsitsipas has serious problems. In the locker room I am respected and I have many good friends, but nobody likes him. Accusing me at the conference of bullying him is like a person who doesn't have what it takes, he's a weakling. He threw the balls at me, he threw the ball in the stands. I argued with the referee, I didn't do anything disrespectful against him. Given the precedents he'd better think about how to beat me ".
