Jannik Sinner arrives in the third round of the 142nd edition of the US Open, the last slam of the season.

The South Tyrolean tennis player, seeded number 11 and thirteenth in the world rankings, beat US qualifier Christopher Eubanks, 145th in the ranking, with a score of 6-4 7-6 (8) 6-2, after two hours and 22 minutes of game.

After the difficult debut with the German Altmaier, 93 Atp passed in the fifth, the blue ends in three sets but gives something too much to the rival especially in the second set, won at the tie break.

"The second set was the key: we both spent a lot - commented Sinner - in the tie break I tried to serve as best as possible and then in the third it became easier."
