8 dead in the Green Zone in Baghdad

Eight supporters of Muqtada al-Sadr were killed today, Monday, in the Green Zone in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, and 85 others were wounded, according to a new toll given by medical sources to AFP, amid chaos after al-Sadr announced his final retirement from political work, and his supporters stormed the government palace.

And the Iraqi military leadership issued a decision to impose a curfew throughout the country, while the United Nations mission in Iraq called for restraint.
