What part of the body does the rower work?

The rowing machine is a fitness device capable of strengthening many parts of your body.

It reproduces the movements of rowing, which require pulling with the arms and pushing with the legs while contracting the abdominals.

By doing the rowing machine, you strengthen all the muscles of your legs and thighs, those of the arms, but also the glutes, the lumbar muscles and the abdominal strap.

As a bonus, you improve your cardio.

This is, for many athletes, the most beneficial and complete exercise that can be practiced indoors or at home.

How long should a rowing session last?

Because rowing uses many muscles, exercise sessions may last less than other activities.

If you want to do rowing to lose weight and refine your figure, you can do sessions of about twenty minutes two to three times a week.

If you want to develop your muscles, aim for about thirty minutes.

If you are comfortable with this exercise, you can either extend the duration of your session a little or increase the resistance of the rower: both are possible.

How often is it recommended to practice rowing?

You can schedule one rowing session per week, or one session per day: it all depends on your level and your goal.

Generally, it is recommended to carry out four sessions per week, without going below the bar of three sessions and without exceeding five sessions.

It is important to keep rest times, at least one or two days a week, depending on your level.

The important thing is not to row every day, but to keep a constant rhythm.
