Yesterday the polling booths were erected and today the mingling begins, which will last until the election in just over a month.

At the parties' polling booths, activities, meetings and smaller events will take place, with one purpose - to talk politics.

With the Christian Democrats, who sneakily started with the opening of their polling booth already on Tuesday afternoon, there was a clear picture that political interest seems to be strong this year.

- There have already been many people who have come to talk to us about things in society that are not working, says Mimmi Westerlund (KD), political secretary.

With the hope of high visitor pressure

Even at the Sweden Democrats' polling booth, the impression is that there will be intense weeks leading up to the election, even though at the moment there are modest numbers of visitors at Uppsala's central station.

- All the parties are here, so it's a good opportunity to talk politics and form your own opinion, says Alexander von Uckermann (SD), political secretary.
