This Sunday, March 13, Dakar woke up to the sound of the first electoral caravans. The campaign officially began on Saturday March 9, and will last two weeks instead of three since voters finally vote on March 24.

For the record, the vote was initially scheduled to be held on February 25, a campaign shortened due to the postponement. The majority candidate, Amadou Ba, plans to hold meetings in Guédiawaye, a popular neighborhood in the Dakar suburbs. The former Prime Minister is due to speak this Sunday, after several weeks of silence.
