“No one has the right to accuse the DPRK, a nuclear-weapon state that is not a party to the NPT, for exercising its right to self-defense,” RIA Novosti quoted the statement as saying.

Earlier, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un threatened South Korea with readiness to quickly and accurately mobilize its "nuclear deterrence forces" at any time.

US President Joe Biden, in turn, stated that the United States, South Korea and Japan aimed to jointly begin the complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula. 

Farhan Haq, deputy spokesman for the UN Secretary General, stressed that the organization opposes rhetoric containing messages about the possibility of using nuclear weapons.
