At one of Vilhelmina's nursing homes, a total of twelve cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed, nine cases are residents and four are employees.

At the other two nursing homes, the situation is calmer with two and zero cases respectively.

- We appeal to the public not to visit our nursing homes because it is about our most fragile, says Niklas Vilhelmsson, acting municipal manager.

Follows care routines

The municipality has issued the call on social media.

There they also write that the municipality works based on healthcare hygiene routines and recommendations for all activities within healthcare and social care.

- The staff have been sent home and the residents who tested positive have been isolated in their rooms, it's not so nice but we have to do something, says Niklas Vilhelmsson.

He continues:

- We don't have walls or closed doors, but we ask that you think about it.

If it continues, it may become relevant to ban visits, but it is not relevant at the moment, says Niklas Vilhelmsson.
