Zelensky relieves the commander of special operations of the armed forces of his duties

On Monday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky issued a decision to dismiss General Grigory Galagan, the commander of the special operations forces of the Ukrainian armed forces, according to urgent news of the "Extra News" news channel, a little while ago.

According to agencies, it was stated in the presidential decree issued by the Ukrainian president: "Grigory Anatolyevich Galagan has been dismissed from the post of commander of the special operations forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces."

A second decree was also issued, appointing Viktor Khorenko as the new commander of special operations of the armed forces.

It is noteworthy that the appointment of Major General Grigory Galagan as commander of the Special Operations Forces was on August 25, 2020, and before that he served as the first deputy head of the Special Operations Center for Combating Terrorism, which is affiliated with the Security Service of Ukraine.
