Starting on Monday 25 July, the maintenance work will begin.

They will last for five weeks and the work will continue both night and day.

This means that there may be disturbing noise around the clock for those who live in the area.

Gears must be replaced

Among other things, the equivalent of 1.5 kilometers of worn tracks must be replaced, tracks must be straightened, macadam must be filled in and ten gears must be replaced completely.

The work affects train traffic on the East Coast Line, Bergslagsbanan and the northern main line.

For those traveling by train coming from Falun, Ljusdal and Sundsvall, there will be a complete stop in traffic between 7 and 13 August, week 32. Information on how to get to and from Gävle during this week is provided by each train company.

Traffic south from and to Gävle will run without disruption.
