This Thursday, Emmanuel Macron will give an interview on TF1 and France on the occasion of the July 14 parade.

This speech should allow the Head of State to sweep away the many subjects that dot the start of his second five-year term.

But also to restore momentum to a stagnant political sequence.

Emmanuel Macron had wanted to turn his back on tradition when he arrived at the Élysée, but the president will lend himself this Thursday to the July 14 interview.

This is his first televised interview since his re-election.

This interview is an opportunity for the Head of State to regain control, in a complicated period for the executive.

Relaunched a difficult start to the five-year term

And that is saying something that the news has been intense in recent weeks: between the difficulties of the government in the Assembly, the ongoing discussions on the health bill and purchasing power.

But that's not all.

Emmanuel Macron should also be questioned about the war in Ukraine, the Uber Files, or the management of the 7th wave of Covid.

This will be an opportunity for the Head of State to get his message heard again, after the criticism he received on his lack of a legislative campaign and the loss of his absolute majority in the hemicycle.

A first since 2020

Emmanuel Macron, weakened, is called upon to change methods and restore momentum to a stagnant political sequence.

Indeed, the appointment of Elisabeth Borne and her government did not arouse enthusiasm in public opinion.

The president should thus take advantage of the interview tomorrow to clarify his ambitions and try to give a course to his new five-year term.

This interview of July 14, Emmanuel Macron only submitted to it once, it was in 2020, during the first deconfinement, and the day before Jean Castex's general policy speech.
