Health warns of children's panadol

The Ministry of Health warns against the drug Panadol for children

The Ministry of Health has warned of an error in the information written on the outer package of the drug "Pandol" intended for children, pointing out that excessive use of the drug, without consulting a doctor, may cause liver poisoning.

The Ministry of Health said in the circular, of which "Emirates Today" received a copy, that the error is found in a large amount of Panadol syrup bottles located in the UAE and the countries of the Middle East region.

The Ministry called on doctors and pharmacists to calculate the correct dose for children and infants based on age and weight, and not to take the information on the outer package only.
