The United Nations has released estimates that India's population will outpace China next year, making it the largest in the world.

According to a report released by the United Nations on the 11th, as of this time, China, the world's top population, has a population of 1,426 million, and India, the world's second largest, has a population of 1,412 million.

And it is estimated that India will overtake China next year to become the largest in the world.

India's population continues to grow, reaching 1,668 million in 2050, far ahead of China's 1,317 million.

The Government of India is taking steps to curb the population, but according to the World Bank, India's infant mortality rate continues to decline, which the United Nations says is contributing to the growth of the population.

On the other hand, China has been greatly affected by the implementation of the so-called "one-child policy", which allows a couple to have only one child in principle, from around 1980, and the birthrate is declining and the population is aging.

A UN report also states that the global population will exceed 8 billion in November and will reach 9.7 billion by 2050.
