Martin Hellström was born in Germany and came to Sweden in the 90s.
He is a professor of German with a focus on literary studies at the University of Gothenburg and a professor of literary studies with a focus on didactics at the University of Borås.
Since 2017, Martin Hellström has been the Rector of University West.
Martin Hellström will take over from Paul Pettersson and take over as Rector of MDU on 1 October 2022.
