Police were called to the scene on Wednesday morning due to a man becoming aggressive and producing a weapon and threatening to injure himself with it.
Home care staff who were with the man got out of the home and alerted the police.
Several patrols were on site and some of the police were equipped with heavy weapons.
The man could be arrested in the home and no one should have been physically injured.
According to the police, he had a license for the weapon.
