The United States discusses with allies the prospects for introducing a ceiling on purchase prices for oil from Russia

"The goal is to lower the price they can charge in the future when selling crude oil," Adeyemo said at a hearing before the US Senate Appropriations Committee, TASS reports.

According to him, the US is trying to prevent Russia from benefiting from rising oil prices on world markets.

Adeyemo also said that Russia probably increased its oil revenues, the United States authorities expect to reduce them.
