For her, the race for the National Assembly stops here.
This Sunday evening, the former Minister of Housing Emmanuelle Wargon obtained only 18.9% of the votes cast in Val-de-Marne in the 1st round of the legislative elections.
In the lead we therefore find Michel Herbillon (LR) and Eric Pagès (Nupes), with respectively 37.4% and 28.1% of the vote.
If the qualification of outgoing deputy Michel Herbillon was announced in the polls, the exit of the former minister is a surprise.
Emmanuel Macron had indeed come first in the Val-de-Marne ahead of Jean-Luc Mélenchon during the 1st round of the presidential elections with 32% of the vote, against 25% for the leader of La France insoumise.
Valérie Pécresse, candidate of the Republicans, had meanwhile obtained only 7% of the vote.
