The cause of the accident is still unknown.

In Rennes, an investigation was opened after a fire that occurred this Sunday evening in a mosque in the Maurepas district.

The facts occurred a little after 8 p.m. at 178 rue de Fougères, we learned from the firefighters.

For an undetermined reason, fire broke out in sheds located in the garden of a pavilion serving as a place of worship for the Muslim community.

Quickly on site, about fifteen firefighters intervened to control the fire which did not spread to the rest of the building.

No one was injured or inconvenienced by the fumes.

Forensic technicians went on site in the evening to make the first findings.
