The trips around finding new premises for the cultural school in Karlskrona have been many and have been going on for several years.

In October, the Culture and Leisure Committee in Karlskrona voted through a proposal to build new premises for the cultural school in Karlskrona in Handelshamnen.

When the proposal was then raised in the municipal board in January, the criticism from the political opposition led to the decision that more alternatives should be investigated.

The criticism concerned, among other things, a feared need for redevelopment and uncertain cost proposals.

More alternatives will be investigated

When the issue was raised again at Tuesday's meeting, it was a question of whether the municipality would buy a plot in the Lindblad neighborhood and build a new cultural school.

Something that Sydöstran was the first to report on.

But the Moderates and the Christian Democrats instead put forward a proposal to investigate the possibility that the Palander farm could become new land for the cultural school.

The parties also believed that the proposal for the Lindblad district should be investigated further.

The Social Democrats and the Center Party were against the re-referral - but the proposal was supported by both the Sweden Democrats - and the Liberals in power.

- We want the municipality to build on its own land and we want more investments to be investigated, says Börje Dovstad (L), group leader to the newspaper.

Investigation must be completed in October 2022, and then again processed by the municipal board.
