　　Comrade Huang Wenhu was born in Shanghai on July 22, 1926. He graduated from the Department of Electrical Engineering of Zhejiang University in 1949, and entered the research class of Harbin Institute of Technology in 1950. After graduation, he has been working in the school since then.

He was the president of Harbin Institute of Technology from 1983 to 1985.

In May 1959, he joined the Communist Party of China.

In 1995, he was elected as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.
