Embiid took part in a Friday morning practice but still isn't on the roster against the Miami Heat, but that could change between now and the game.

The Cameroonian player of 2.13 meters and 28 years old suffered a fractured right eye socket and a concussion following a blow given by his compatriot Pascal Siakam during the last quarter of match N.6 won in Toronto against the Raptors.

He consequently missed the first two matches of the semi-finals against Miami which resulted in defeats for Philadelphia.

If he received the concussion green light, Embiid must still receive the one for his fracture before playing again with a mask.

He had already had to do it in 2018 following a previous facial fracture.

The Sixers, who will now play at home, must win, as no club in NBA championship history has ever gone from a three-game deficit to zero in a best-of-seven series.

On the side of Miami, the participation of Kyle Lowry, who missed four matches due to a tendon injury, is also uncertain.

The winner of the Sixers-Heat encounter will face either Boston or outgoing champion Milwaukee in the Eastern Conference Finals before advancing to the championship finals in June.
