German Defense Minister Christina Lambrecht has already announced the agreement reached during her visit to Slovakia, the newspaper notes.

The equipment is currently under repair.

The Bundeswehr also plans to “provide training for Ukrainian servicemen” in handling howitzers of this type, the material says.

According to Lambrecht, the transfer of weapons to Ukraine will not affect the military capabilities of Germany, because the howitzers will not be taken from the active arsenal of the Bundeswehr.

Officially, the German Armed Forces have 119 self-propelled guns of this type, of which about 40 are in combat readiness, the newspaper writes.

More details are in the translation of the InoTV material.

On April 9, Christina Lambrecht said that the German Armed Forces were unlikely to be able to send additional weapons to Ukraine, because the German army itself should be able to ensure its own security.
