So far, Yin Xiyue has completed all the personnel layout of the presidential palace and the new cabinet.

  Zhang Jiyuan, the secretary of Yin Xiyue's transition team, held a press conference on the 1st to announce the candidates for the senior staff of the presidential palace.

Compared with the current President Moon Jae-in's staff of "3 office heads and 8 chief secretaries", Yin Xiyue's senior staff team has reduced one office chief and 3 chief secretaries.

After Yin Xiyue was elected president, Kim Sung-han served as the secretary of the diplomatic security team in the presidential transition committee, responsible for planning the new government's foreign security policy.

  In terms of chief secretary, Yoon Seok-wook appointed former first officer (deputy minister of the Ministry of Planning and Finance) Choi Sang-moo as chief economic secretary, Seoul National University professor Ahn Sang-hoon as chief secretary of society, former member of the National Assembly Lee Jin-bok as chief secretary of government affairs, and vice president of Hyosung Group Choi Young-beom is chief secretary for publicity, and former MP Kang Seung-gyu is chief secretary for civil society.

  A few days ago, Yin Xiyue appointed Jin Daqi, a former senior staff member of the Blue House, as the Chief of Staff of the Presidential Office.

Kim Dae-ki has served in various government departments, including at the Blue House during the administrations of progressive President Roh Moo-hyun and conservative President Lee Myung-bak.

  Yin Xiyue is scheduled to be sworn in on May 10.

About 41,000 people are expected to attend the presidential inauguration, and former President Park Geun-hye has also expressed interest in attending, the Presidency Preparatory Committee said.

  Yoon Seok-hye and Park Geun-hye belong to the conservative camp.

Yin Xiyue visited Park Geun-hye in the southeastern city of Daegu last month, apologized to Park Geun-hye for presiding over the investigation into the case of "confidantes interfering in politics", and formally invited the latter to attend the presidential inauguration ceremony.

  Yin Xiyue announced at the end of March that after taking office, the presidential palace will be relocated from the Blue House to the Ministry of National Defense Building in Yongsan District, Seoul.

According to Yin Xiyue, he will go to work in the new office after the presidential inauguration; from the same day, the Blue House will be fully open to the public.

  The current president, Moon Jae-in, told reporters at the end of last month that he would leave the Blue House at 18:00 on the 9th after completing all the work.
