South Korean President Yoon Sung-nyeol spoke at a commemorative ceremony in Seoul on March 1, the day the independence movement began under Japanese rule. Next year will mark 60 years since the normalization of diplomatic relations between Japan and South Korea.

A senior official from South Korea's presidential office revealed that there are no plans for a summit meeting between Prime Minister Kishida and President Yoonson in March. In the meeting, a high-ranking official mentioned that ``shuttle diplomacy,'' a reciprocal exchange between the leaders of South Korea and Japan, resumed last year.
