Finnish President Sauli Niinistö will announce his views on Finnish NATO membership by 12 May, but Foreign Minister Ann Linde is already saying in an interview with SVT's Agenda that it will probably be a yes for the neighboring country.
- I think you can say that with some certainty, we had the Finnish Foreign Affairs Committee in Sweden last week and it was unequivocal also from my own party which has not formally taken a position yet.
But even their representatives said that this will be the case because public opinion has fluctuated so sharply and almost all parties have changed their minds because of what Russia has done.
