The two countries have signed two agreements, three protocols, two memoranda of understanding and a concession agreement in the agricultural field.
According to a source familiar with the matter, the Congo must grant Rwanda 12,000 hectares of exploitable land in at least three departments in the south of the country.
On the other hand, the duration of the concession was not specified.
The Congo has 10 to 12 million arable land of which less than 5% is exploited for subsistence agriculture.
According to the joint communiqué read to the press by Jean-Claude Gakosso, Congolese Minister for Foreign Affairs, the two Heads of State considered that the level of relations between their countries could be broader and deeper in view of the agreements signed by the past.
The presidents of the two countries asked their governments to work, without delay, on the development of action plans for the execution of the agreements which have just been concluded.
