In March, the guardian of the Court of Appeal was sentenced to four years in prison for two cases of rape and several sexual harassment.

Several of the abuses took place when the man was on duty as a security guard in central Uppsala.

The man has always denied any wrongdoing.

Undermining information

The verdict is now being appealed and according to the news agency Siren, the man's lawyer Hanna Lindblom believes that spreading rumors online and great media attention undermine the credibility of information provided by several plaintiffs in the case.

She wants the Supreme Court to take up the case and try the credibility aspects.

Hanna Lindblom also believes that there must have been a disagreement between the security guard and the plaintiffs due to his job at the mall in question.

The guard, who has lost his job, wants the Supreme Court to acquit him of both rapes, a case of sexual harassment and a harassment.
