The American Supreme Court reviews the conditions of access to the abortion pill. Its access was restricted last year by a conservative appeals court pointing to medical dangers, yet dismissed by the scientific community.

Nearly two-thirds of abortions (63%) in the United States in 2023 were performed medically, the Guttmacher Institute, a specialized research center, said last week. The Court's decision is expected by June 30. The administration of Democratic President Joe Biden and the manufacturer of mifepristone are asking the nine judges of the Supreme Court to overturn this decision, currently suspended.
