President-elect Yoon Seok-yeol's delegation for the ROK-U.S. policy consultation said that they agreed with the United States in upgrading the ROK-U.S. alliance to a higher level as a comprehensive strategic alliance.

After meeting with Wendy Sherman, Deputy Secretary of State, at the State Department in Washington DC on the afternoon of the 4th in the afternoon local time, Delegation Director Park Jin said that he communicated Yun's ideas to the US side and formed a consensus with the US side.

The delegation led by Director Park arrived in the United States on the 3rd to explain and coordinate President-elect Yoon's policies toward the US and North Korea.

Director Park explained that the two countries agreed that it is more important than ever to continue seamless cooperation between South Korea and the United States in a dire situation, saying that North Korea's provocations are continuing in the transition period of the South Korean government.

He also said that he had an opportunity to explain in detail President-elect Yun's vision for North Korea policy to realize sustainable peace and security on the Korean Peninsula through the complete, verifiable and irreversible denuclearization of North Korea in relation to the North Korean nuclear issue, and that the US side also agreed.

The delegation said that President Joe Biden must visit Korea on the occasion of his visit to Asia, and it is reported that the US side said that it was "considering various things."
