China's performance in artificial intelligence, new generation communication technology, network security, and cutting-edge robot manufacturing surpassed South Korea in many key scientific and technological fields.

South Korea has a slight lead over China in the fields of semiconductors, power batteries and hydrogen energy. The South Korean government plans to continue to monitor the global technological development level in key fields every two years.
