This Friday, a 23-year-old man lost his life near the Réguiny flour mill, near Pontivy, in Morbihan.
According to the gendarmes, the victim was electrocuted shortly after 9 a.m. while she was cleaning her tanker truck.
The driver had just delivered the cereals he was transporting to the flour mill when he climbed onto the roof of his truck to clean it using a lance projecting compressed air.
“The circumstances are not yet certain, but it seems that an electric arc has formed between the metal lance and the medium voltage line located above”, specifies the captain of the Ploërmel gendarmerie.
Electrocuted, the young driver then fell from the roof of his truck, from a height of about three meters.
When paramedics arrived, he was dead.
The young man was from the region of Guingamp (Côtes d'Armor).
An investigation has been opened to try to understand the circumstances of the tragedy.
