The truck driver arrested for fleeing after the fatal collision of an elderly man in Madrid: "I didn't notice anything". The 43-year-old Galician truck driver pleaded innocent.
According to his statement, he was not aware that he had run over anyone at a crosswalk and, therefore, claimed that he never ran away. Investigators from the Municipal Police Report and Accident Unit are trying to find out if he is telling the truth and yesterday they moved the truck to the scene of the accident to check if his argument was credible.
