Newspaper: Britain will ban Russian oil imports
LONDON (Reuters) - Britain will ban imports of Russian oil, Politico newspaper reported, citing British government officials, ahead of an expected announcement later on Tuesday.
Politico said there would be several months before the ban was imposed to allow the global market to adapt and to prevent people from rushing to buy fuel.
The newspaper added that Russian gas will not be banned at the same time, but this decision is still under discussion within the government.
