Russia has announced that it is designating South Korea as a country that has acted unfriendly to its government, businesses and Russians.

The list of unfriendly countries includes the United States and the United Kingdom, which have led the international community's sanctions against Russia, 27 EU member states, and Ukraine.

Earlier, the Korean government announced that it would suspend transactions with Russia's central bank and sovereign wealth funds.

Various sanctions, including diplomatic restrictions, are expected to be imposed on these non-friendly countries.

For now, the Russian government has allowed Russian businesses and individuals to repay debts in Russian rubles to creditors of non-friendly countries.

It is interpreted as a measure to secure the country's financial stability amid international sanctions.

Meanwhile, the Russian military announced that it would stop bombing the capital Kiiu, the second city of Kharkiv, the northeastern border city of Sumi, and the southern part of Mariupol from 10 am local time yesterday.

The goal is to open a humanitarian pathway for civilians to evacuate.

However, the Russian side did not disclose whether or when the attack would stop in other cities, and limited evacuation routes to Russia and Belarus.
