Chen Jiadong, former director of the Standing Committee of the Xiamen Municipal People's Congress, Fujian Province, is suspected of serious violations of discipline and law, and is currently undergoing disciplinary review and supervisory investigation by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission.

  According to public information, Chen Jiadong was born in August 1959 in Changle, Fujian Province. He joined the Communist Party of China in April 1986 and started working in September 1981. He has an on-the-job postgraduate degree and is an engineer.

  Chen Jiadong has worked in the Forestry Department of Fujian Province for many years, and he was also the leader of the third batch of aid teams in Fujian Province.

After April 2005, he served as deputy secretary of the Ningde Municipal Party Committee, secretary of the Fu'an Municipal Party Committee, and Zhangzhou Municipal Party Committee Secretary. From January 2017, he served as the director of the Standing Committee of the Xiamen Municipal People's Congress and the secretary of the party group.

  In January this year, the first meeting of the 16th Xiamen Municipal People's Congress elected Yang Guohao as the director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress.

In November last year, Yang Guohao appeared as secretary of the party group of the Xiamen Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee.

  According to a report on the website of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and State Supervision Commission, in January this year, a total of 9,817 cases of violations of the eight central regulations were investigated and dealt with, and 14,705 people were criticized, educated, helped and dealt with, of which 10,209 people were punished by party discipline and government affairs.

  Judging from the types of issues investigated and dealt with that month, the failure to take responsibility, inaction, disorderly actions, and false actions in fulfilling duties, serving economic and social development and ecological and environmental protection, which seriously affected high-quality development, were more prominent. A total of 4,383 issues were investigated and dealt with 86.4% of the total number of formalism and bureaucracy problems.
