“U.S. President Joe Biden has made it clear that if Russia invades Ukraine, we will work with Germany to ensure that Nord Stream 2 does not go any further,” TASS quoted her as saying.
Psaki added that Washington has closely consulted with Berlin on this issue and welcomes the decision of the German authorities.
“Today we will follow up on our own measures,” the White House spokeswoman said.
Earlier, the German Ministry of Economy suspended the certification process for Nord Stream 2.
