According to a new count from the Constitutional Council published on Tuesday evening, the Lutte Ouvrière candidate Nathalie Arthaud officially validated her participation in the presidential election with her 509 sponsorships.

Fabien Roussel and Jean Lassalle are close to validating their candidacy in turn.

It is however very complicated for Christiane Taubira.

A fourth validated candidacy for the presidential election.

The Lutte Ouvrière candidate Nathalie Arthaud validated 509 sponsorships, according to a new count from the Constitutional Council published on Tuesday evening.

She joins Valérie Pécresse (1,824), Emmanuel Macron (1,260) and Anne Hidalgo (1,007) who had already managed to exceed the minimum bar of 500 sponsorships.

The communist Fabien Roussel (492) and the candidate of Résistons!, Jean Lassalle (471), are approaching the required number.

It is also on the right track for the ecologist Yannick Jadot (450).

On the right, candidates not yet serene

A gap has widened with the other contenders for the Élysée.

Nicolas Dupont-Aignan totaled 360 signatures in mid-February, ahead of the Insoumis Jean-Luc Mélenchon and the candidate of the National Rally, Marine Le Pen, who are both neck and neck (respectively 332 and 331).

Then comes Eric Zemmour.

validated half of the required sponsorships, 250, on Tuesday.

This is 40 more than the Frexit candidate, François Asselineau (210), who is seeking to stand for the second time in the presidential election.

Christiane Taubira off the hook

On the other hand, it is more difficult for the candidate of the New Anti-Capitalist Party, Philippe Poutou, who has 188 sponsorships on February 15, and for the figure of the railway workers Anasse Kazib (116).

The surprise of this new count comes from Christiane Taubira.

The winner of the popular Primary at the end of January is struggling to validate sponsorships, and has only 73 on Tuesday.

This is three more than Hélène Thouy, the candidate of the animalist party.

Georges Kuzmanovic (35) and Gaspard Koenig (28) are also struggling to get off the ground.

They have until March 11 to collect the precious signatures.
