The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that on February 12, a US Virginia-class submarine was discovered in Russian territorial waters near the Kuril Island Urup.

After the discovery of the submarine, her crew was ordered to "surface immediately."

The crew of the ship ignored the request, after which the Russian frigate used special means, and the submarine left the territorial waters of Russia at maximum speed.

In this regard, the US military attaché was summoned to the Russian Ministry of Defense.
