When "Yidundun" talked to "Father of Bingdundun", Japanese media reporters started a series of questions.

[Global Times Comprehensive Report] Japanese TV reporter Tsujioka Yoshido, who was dubbed "Yidundun" because of his love for the mascot of the Beijing Winter Olympics "Bingdundun", met with the "Father of Bingdundun", Winter Cao Xue, head of the Austrian mascot Guangmei design team, had the first "cloud meeting".

Global Times reporters exclusively witnessed the whole process of the meeting online.

Seeing the "Father of Bing Dundun", Tsujioka Yido opened a series of questions like: Why is "Bing Dundun" a panda?

Have other animals been considered?

Why is it a round figure?

Did you encounter any difficulties during the design process?

What does the "heart" on the left palm of "Bingdundun" mean...

Cao Xue responded one by one, saying that although he had also tried animals such as Siberian tigers and elk in the process of creation, the one that best represents China is still the panda.

Moreover, it is also a panda. The setting of "Bing Dun Dun" is a young panda, and it mainly has several characteristics: first, the ratio of face and body is almost 1:1; second, the standing posture is inward rather than outward. Eight characters; third, the facial features should be as close to the middle as possible, and the nose and mouth are very close to the eyes.

Only in this way can the "cute state" of "Bingdundun" be shown.

When talking about the difficulties encountered in the design, Cao Xue replied, "At first, there was no colorful energy ring around the face of 'Bing Dun Dun', and I felt that there were no bright spots at the time. Later, from the 'Ice Ribbon' of National Speed Skating Hall When I got inspiration, I didn’t expect the effect to be very good, and it suddenly shined.”

Tsujioka Yoshido asked Cao Xue how he thought "Bingdundun" was so popular that it was out of stock.

Cao Xue said that as a designer, she was very excited, but when she saw people queuing for hours in the icy cold wind, her excitement became moved, and her eyes even burst into tears.

If in such an era, what else is so scarce that people queue up in the cold wind to buy it?

Presumably what everyone is looking forward to is the warmth that you feel when you hold "Bing Dun Dun" in your hands.

The purpose of designing "Bingdundun" is to convey love. Yitang's performance shows that he has experienced this love.
