“Minister of Internal Affairs Yerlan Turgumbaev was instructed to find the vandals who desecrated the Orthodox cemetery in Ushtobe (Almaty region) in order to bring them to criminal liability under the law,” Tokaev wrote on his Twitter.
According to TASS, unidentified people at the Orthodox cemetery tore crosses from the graves, and also broke fences and wreaths.
On the fact of desecration of the cemetery, a criminal case was opened under the article “Vandalism”.
Earlier in the Lugansk region, unknown people destroyed the monument to the victims of the Holocaust.
