Ural flood, dam rupture: “critical situation” on the border between Russia and Kazakstan. The peak of these floods should not be reached before Tuesday April 9, and, according to the Kremlin, they could spread to other regions, notably Siberia.
More than 10,000 residential buildings have been flooded in the Russian regions of the Urals, the Volga and in western Siberia. On the Kazakh side, President Tokayev called these floods “ the worst natural disaster in the country in 80 years ”
