On January 18, local time, Kazakh Minister of Health Ginyat said that two people injured in the riot died in the intensive care unit of the hospital after rescue.

So far, 227 people have died in the riots.

  Earlier, the General Prosecutor's Office of Kazakhstan had released news that as of January 15, riots had resulted in 225 deaths, of which 175 died in medical institutions.

  Guinyat also said that since the riots began earlier this month, a total of 2,739 victims have received medical assistance, and 200 are currently hospitalized, including 14 in critical condition in intensive care units.
