On Monday, the trial continued against the IS woman who is accused of having used one of her sons as a child soldier in Syria.

The woman, who grew up in a city in western Sweden, was hard pressed by the prosecutors and was asked questions about how she reacted when she saw the picture where her then 13-year-old son poses with weapons and mutilated bodies - including severed heads.

- I was shocked that NN was in such a picture and that he had ended up in such a situation.

I was sad when I see it, says the IS woman, who also claims that she saw the picture for the first time when it was published by SVT Nyheter.

"They were regime soldiers so everyone was happy"

The prosecutor then asked if she knew that IS mutilated the bodies of its enemies.

- Yes, what you can see in the picture I heard afterwards.

The Syrians were overjoyed that they had done this to the soldiers.

These were regime soldiers, so everyone was so happy, she said, adding:

- But me and the girls were never there.

"Everyone knew I hated this with battle"

Otherwise, the woman continued to claim that she had been tricked into Syria, that she had too much to do with the children to think about what was happening and that her eldest son decided that the whole family would stay in the country despite the war raging.

The prosecutor also wondered how it could be that the accused did not understand that her sons were fighting for IS, when several family members openly discussed it in various chats.

- Everyone knew I hated fighting.

And my kids knew I did not want to stay there.

IS woman also had to answer why she did not once contact anyone and ask for help, if it was the case that she was in need in a war zone she wanted to leave.

- My boys did not want to leave.

And I'm not one to sit and tell about my private life, not even to friends.
