Mothers in Lebanon are described as mothers of a martyr, a displaced person, an immigrant, or a mother in refugee camps. This is a situation that makes the feelings of “Mother’s Day” difficult for them, as they do not find an occasion to celebrate.
Some of them were unable to bury their son or bid him farewell. They are unable to celebrate this year, amid the tragedies suffered by mothers in Gaza. The displaced Umm Hamdi has not celebrated Mother's Day for 5 years due to the difficult living conditions.
