Recently, when a super strong tornado struck the central United States, there were few casualties, but it is known that two babies who escaped into a bathtub in the basement of a house miraculously survived to fly with the tornado.

town of Hopkins, Kentucky, one of the areas most affected by the tornado.

Upon hearing that the tornado was approaching, Clara Lutz took her two grandchildren she was caring for and took refuge in the basement of the house.

Then they evacuated their 15-month-old and 3-month-old grandchildren, respectively, into a bathtub, put a blanket, a pillow, and a Bible together, and waited for the tornado to pass.

But soon after, a powerful tornado engulfed the house, and the tub in the basement was swept away by a tornado.

[Clara Roots/Grandma: (At the tornado) The bathtub came up and came out of my hand. I couldn't hold on to it.]

Grandma was injured by hitting her head in the bathtub, but she desperately started looking for the children in the rubble that even led to the basement.

[Clara Roots/Grandma: I didn't know where the children were. There was nothing I could do but pray to God to bring the children back safely.]

Eventually, the bathtub was found upside down in the backyard, with both children under it fortunately.

The three-month-old baby suffered major bruises on the back of his head, but miraculously both survived.

[Clara Roots/Grandmother: The youngest grandson had a head injury, but we didn't even know he was bleeding.]

Dozens of tornadoes in the central US on the 10th killed a total of 92 people, including 75 in Kentucky.
