From 0 am on the day after tomorrow (18th), the number of people allowed for private gatherings across the country will be reduced to 4 people.

In the case of cafeterias, only 4 people who have completed vaccination can use it, and those who are not vaccinated are allowed to use it alone or only take-out and delivery.

Prime Minister Kim Bu-gyeom made this statement at the meeting of the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters.

Prime Minister Kim also said that high-risk entertainment facilities, restaurants, and cafes can only be operated from the day after tomorrow until 9:00 p.m.

Movie theaters, performance halls, and PC rooms are closed until 10pm, and youth entrance exam academies have decided to make an exception.

In addition, Prime Minister Kim announced that the number of people allowed for large-scale events and assemblies will be reduced, and the quarantine pass will be extended to exhibitions, expositions and international conferences of a certain size.

This distance adjustment plan will be applied for 16 days from 0 AM the day after Saturday, until January 2, next year, and it will be evaluated again at the end of the year.

Prime Minister Kim said that he would like to provide more thick support under the name of 'Quarantine Support Subsidy' for the practical difficulties resulting from the expansion of quarantine passes, as well as compensation for losses incurred from direct damage caused by business hours restrictions.

In addition, the 3rd vaccination for seniors aged 60 and over is a very urgent task, and we requested that they refrain from going out and gatherings until the vaccination is complete.

Prime Minister Kim emphasized that this hurdle can only be overcome by suppressing the spread of the virus as soon as possible through strong social distancing.

Prime Minister Kim said that he would strengthen his medical response capabilities during the 'pause' and urged people to refrain from gatherings during the year-end and New Year holidays and to reduce unnecessary outings and meetings.
