Senegalese opponent Barthélémy Dias was again briefly arrested in Dakar on Wednesday, November 17.
Candidate for mayor of the capital for the local elections of January 23, 2022, he had already been arrested a few hours a week ago, with Ousmane Sonko and Malick Gakou, other opposition figures, after clashes between their activists and the police.

At the end of the morning, Barthélémy Dias leaves his home in Sicap Baobab.
Its objective: the Petersen bus station, in the city center.
As he had announced, the mayor of the town of Mermoz-Sacré-Coeur was planning to distribute leaflets for his inauguration meeting scheduled for Sunday.
But his convoy, made up of three vehicles, was quickly stopped by the police.

for the local elections in January.
