US Secretary of State Blincoln again advocated the so-called "Taiwan's meaningful participation in international organizations such as the United Nations" on the 26th.

Observers pointed out that the US has violated the three Sino-US joint communiqués and attempted to "use Taiwan to control China" and send the wrong signal to the "Taiwan independence" forces. This is not only detrimental to the development of Sino-US relations, but also seriously jeopardizing the peace and stability of the Taiwan Strait.

As we all know, the United Nations is an international governmental organization composed of sovereign states, and Taiwan is part of China and has no right to participate in the United Nations.

The one-China principle is a universal consensus of the international community and a recognized basic norm of international relations. 180 countries in the world, including the United States, have established diplomatic relations with China on the basis of adhering to the one-China principle.

The participation of the Taiwan region in the activities of international organizations must be handled in accordance with the one-China principle.

The General Assembly Resolution No. 2758 has completely resolved the issue of the representation of the People’s Republic of China in the United Nations politically, legally and procedurally.

The United Nations system, specialized agencies, and the United Nations Secretariat should follow the one-China principle and Resolution 2758 of the United Nations General Assembly in any affairs involving Taiwan.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zhao Lijian pointed out on the 27th that 50 years ago, the United States failed in its vain attempt to create "one China, one Taiwan" or "two Chinas" in the United Nations.

Today, if the United States still wants to reverse the wheel of history, it will stand on the opposite side of the 1.4 billion Chinese people and the vast majority of countries in the world, and it is doomed to fail again.

Observers pointed out that Taiwan-related issues are political issues, not so-called values issues.

The one-China principle and the three Sino-US joint communiqués are the political foundation of Sino-US relations.

The United States should stop helping Taiwan expand its so-called "international space," and not send false signals to "Taiwan independence" forces. It is the demeanor that a responsible major country should have to maintain the political foundation of Sino-US relations with practical actions.

The mainland understands the thoughts and feelings of Taiwan compatriots participating in international activities. In the past, it has made proper arrangements on the basis of the one-China principle.

However, in recent years, the DPP authorities have stubbornly adhered to the separatist stand of "Taiwan independence" and refused to recognize the "92 Consensus". This has led to its repeated participation in the activities of the International Civil Aviation Organization, the World Health Organization and other multilateral institutions. The responsibility rests solely with the DPP authorities. .

Since the outbreak of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, the DPP authorities have stepped up to "seeking independence with the epidemic" and "relying on the United States for independence". They have gone further and further on the wrong path, becoming the biggest real threat to peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait.

The DPP authorities and the "Taiwan independence" forces have also used various lies to deceive the people on the island and mislead international public opinion, deliberately trying to promote the "union" of the Taiwan region. This is absolutely impossible.

The current situation in the Taiwan Strait is complex and severe. Although the cross-strait exchanges have been affected by the artificial obstruction by the DPP authorities and the new crown pneumonia epidemic, the mainland has always been concerned about the well-being of the Taiwanese people.

Under the premise of complying with the one-China principle, Taiwanese medical and health experts can participate in relevant technical meetings of the World Health Organization, and Taiwan’s channels for obtaining public health and health information, including the new crown pneumonia epidemic, are unblocked.

Observers believe that the DPP authorities should abandon the illusion of "relying on the United States for independence" and return to the basis of the "1992 Consensus" to jointly maintain peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait with practical actions.

Only on the basis of the one-China principle can we seek greater space for international participation.
